Successful candidates will be outgoing with a passion for guest service and a commitment to safety. Team members must be observant, engage positively with each guest, actively and kindly enforce rules, and follow all company policies. This includes wearing proper uniforms and remaining unplugged from personal electronics. Team members must be available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays, and are expected to help with clean-up. Mountain Manager
The Mountain Manager of Wild Mountain is responsible for the daily operating excellence and overall condition of our outdoor spaces including our snow surfaces, pools, waterslides, vehicles and interior and exterior building maintenance. The Mountain Manager also shares in the responsibility of meeting or exceeding our established business targets.
The Mountain Manager is responsible for strategic and future planning as it relates to business decisions within Wild Mountain including, but not limited to areas of capital expansion, financial planning and performance, business planning, guest experience, employee recruitment and retention.
Additionally, this person will work to support Wild Mountain’s efforts to reduce energy consumption, divert items from the waste stream, support our community and find new ways to reduce our impact on the planet.
The new employee will work side-by-side with the current mountain manager for at least two winters. Then, this person will take over as the full-time leader of the mountain operations department.
A good candidate will have the following skills:
- Ski or snowboard at an intermediate level
- Multiple winters of snowcat operating experience
- Heavy equipment operating experience
- At least 4 years of ski industry management experience
- Knowledge of snowmaking operations
- Ability to diagnose and repair common problems in gasoline and diesel engines
- Chairlift maintenance experience
- The ability to use Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
This position will start at $62,000 to $68,000 per year plus bonus opportunity. Additionally, this position comes with 100% employer paid health benefits, health savings account, matching 401K, paid time off, volunteer time off and resort discounts.
